Mark Mann was born in Houston, Texas on March 25, 1945.  He now lives with his life partner, Diana, in Eugene, Oregon.  He has just published A Collection of Wordstreams – Prose Poems and Vignettes on Kindle and other ebook formats.

Poetically, among his major influences are Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Italo Clavino, Rumi, William Butler Yeats, William Blake, Anais Nin, Henry Miller, Dane Rudhyar, e.e. cummings, Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Pablo Neruda.


In 1996, the American Federation of Astrologers (AFA) published his book, Astrology for the Absolute Beginner, and in 1998, he was awarded The Paul R. Grell Award, “In Recognition For the Best Book Published by the AFA during 1996-1998.


Mark Mann has a BA in English Literature and a MA in Counseling Psychology, both received from the University of Oregon.  He is an Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor, and is a nationally certified Mental Health Counselor and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.


He has additional writing projects he will be publishing in the coming years, including additional collections of wordstreams, a novel, astrological case studies and a book defining a practical and holistic model of life based upon insights gained from his metaphysical, psychological and spiritual studies.
